About the Role:
PBJ Food Ventures LLC in Bayonne, NJ is looking for a skilled and motivated Fryer to join our kitchen team! If you thrive in a fast-paced food service environment and take pride in delivering consistently delicious, perfectly cooked food, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor deep fryers to cook food items to proper temperature and quality standards
- Prepare and bread food items prior to frying according to recipes and specifications
- Monitor oil quality and temperature, changing oil as needed to maintain food quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fry station throughout each shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food production
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food inventory as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Familiarity with deep fryer operation and basic fry station procedures
- Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus)
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
